On Tuesday November 19th, the Hispanic Heritage Celebration popped off at Clemente. There were two performances during the day and one in the evening for families and friends. People from around the district of New Haven joined us in the fun. The event was planned perfectly by Mrs. Rivera and Mrs. Rosa and it went off without a hitch. Students presented information about cultures from Central and South America, as well as the Caribbean. Younger students read poetry and the older students presented dances accompanied by songs. After the presentations, we were lucky enough to have professional Bomba dancers entertain us. We ended the night with delicious homemade Hispanic cuisine while listening to Latin music. It was an incredible experience for all!
